  • 1 Large Egg

  • 120g (½ cup) Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 30g (2 tbsp) Powdered Sugar
  • ½ tsp Ground Cardamom (plus extra ½ tsp for garnish)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 60g (½ cup) Powdered Sugar for Glaze
  • 12 tbsp Milk for Glaze

Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast: Combine warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and yeast; let sit 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Form Dough: Add flour, salt, and egg to yeast mixture; mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead Dough: Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. First Rise: Place dough in oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled.
  5. Make Swirl: Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, cardamom, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Roll & Fill: Roll dough into a square; spread with Biscoff and cream cheese swirl.
  7. Roll & Chill: Roll dough into a log, wrap, and chill for 15 minutes.
  8. Cut Rolls: Cut log into 12 equal pieces.
  9. Second Rise: Arrange rolls in a baking dish; let proof for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake Rolls: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  11. Glaze Rolls: Whisk powdered sugar and milk for glaze; brush over rolls.
