Description

This juicy, flavorful Butterball Turkey Breast with Herb Seasoning is perfect for busy cooks, offering tender, pre-brined meat with minimal fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Butterball Turkey Breast with Herb Seasoning (3lb / 1.36kg)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (15ml)
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth (120ml)
  • 12 sprigs fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme, optional)
  • 23 lemon slices (optional)
  • 23 smashed garlic cloves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Thaw & Prep (10 mins): Ensure your Butterball Turkey Breast with Herb Seasoning is fully thawed in the refrigerator (takes 24-48 hours). Pat the entire breast very dry with paper towels. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Optional Sear (5 mins): For extra-golden skin, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the turkey breast, skin-side down, and sear for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Roast to Perfection (60-90 mins): Transfer the turkey breast, skin-side up, to a roasting pan or keep it in your skillet. Pour the chicken or vegetable broth around the base. Roast for 60-90 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches a safe 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part. For air fryer variation, cook at 350°F (175°C) for 35-45 minutes.
  4. Rest & Slice (10-15 mins): Remove the cooked breast from the oven and tent it loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to allow juices to redistribute. Slice and serve.

Notes

Substitutions: Dried herbs can be substituted for fresh. Olive oil and melted butter are interchangeable for searing. Feel free to add a pinch more salt, black pepper, or garlic powder to taste.

Storage: Store any leftover turkey slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Cooked slices can be frozen in freezer-safe bags or containers for up to 3 months.

Reheating: To keep turkey moist, reheat slices gently in the oven at 300°F (150°C) with a splash of chicken broth or water, or briefly in the microwave on a lower power setting.

Allergies & Safety: Always check the specific Butterball Turkey Breast label for detailed allergen information. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for food safety. An instant-read thermometer is your best friend to avoid overcooking and drying out the turkey.
