These Cardamom Spiced Fig Glazed Pistachio Brie Bites are an elegant and flavorful appetizer featuring creamy brie, a crunchy pistachio coating, and a luscious fig and cardamom glaze. They’re surprisingly easy to make and perfect for gatherings or a sophisticated snack.

- 200g (7oz) Brie Cheese, cut into 8 wedges
- 100g (3.5oz) Unsalted Pistachios, finely chopped
- 50g (1/2 cup) Panko Breadcrumbs
- 30g (2 tbsp) All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Large Egg, beaten
- 30ml (2 tbsp) Water
- 150g (5.3oz) Fig Jam
- 30ml (2 tbsp) Honey
- 0.5 tsp Ground Cardamom
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 15g (1 tbsp) Unsalted Butter
- Pinch Sea Salt
- Extra Chopped Pistachios, for garnish
- Fresh Mint Leaves (optional), for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Coat Brie: Dip brie wedges in egg wash, then press into pistachio-breadcrumb mixture.
- Bake: Arrange on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
- Make Glaze: Combine fig jam, honey, cardamom, lemon juice, and butter in a saucepan; cook until thickened.
- Glaze & Garnish: Drizzle bites with warm glaze and sprinkle with extra pistachios and mint.
Notes
For optimal coating, ensure pistachios are finely chopped and brie is relatively dry. Prepare the glaze while the brie is baking to save time.
