carrot juice recipe
- Total Time: 15 minutes
- Yield: 2–4 servings 1x
- Diet: Vegetarian, Vegan, Healthy
Description
This easy carrot juice recipe is a refreshing, healthy snack for the whole family, providing a quick, nutritious boost for busy mornings. Made with a blender, it supports healthy eating and aims to offer benefits like brighter skin, more energy, and improved digestion.
Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh carrots, peeled and trimmed (or scrubbed clean for organic)
- 1 to 1.5 cups filtered water
- Optional: 25 g (1 inch) fresh ginger, peeled
- Optional: 1 medium apple, cored (or small pear)
- Optional: 1 medium navel orange, peeled
- Optional: 1 small beet, peeled
- Optional: 1 handful fresh spinach
Instructions
- Prepare Carrots: Thoroughly wash and scrub carrots. Peeling is optional but recommended for a smoother juice. Ensure carrots are clean and firm.
- Chop Carrots: Cut the prepared carrots into approximately 1-inch pieces suitable for your blender.
- Blend Ingredients: Place chopped carrots in a high-speed blender. Add 0.5 cup filtered water per 2 cups of carrots. Blend until completely smooth, adding 0.25 cup more water if needed until it blends freely.
- Strain Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve, nut milk bag, or cheesecloth into a clean pitcher. Press firmly to extract all the liquid, until the pulp feels dry.
- Serve Immediately: Pour your fresh carrot juice into clear glasses and serve immediately for optimal taste and nutrient retention. Optionally add apple for sweetness or ginger for a zingy kick during blending.
Notes
Serve immediately for best taste and nutrient retention. For extra fiber, scrub organic carrots clean instead of peeling. Store any leftover juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
