Description

  • 400g (14oz) Ground Turkey
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Olive Oil
  • 1 Medium Onion (150g / 1 cup), Diced
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 500ml (2 cups) Low-Sodium Vegetable Broth
  • 200ml (¾ cup) Heavy Cream
  • 150g (1 cup) Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (Halal-Certified)
  • 50g (½ cup) Grated Parmesan Cheese (Halal-Certified)
  • 120g (½ cup) Roasted Red Pepper Puree
  • 2 tbsp (30g) Toasted Pine Nuts
  • 5g (1 tsp) Salt
  • 2g (½ tsp) Black Pepper
  • Fresh Basil Leaves

Instructions

  1. Sauté Aromatics: Heat oil and sauté onion until translucent.
  2. Bloom Spices: Stir in garlic and paprika; cook until fragrant.
  3. Brown Turkey: Add turkey and cook until browned; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Simmer with Broth & Pasta: Add broth and pasta; simmer until al dente.
  5. Create Cheesy Sauce: Stir in cream, mozzarella, and red pepper puree; swirl gently.
  6. Melt & Thicken: Cook until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.
  7. Rest & Plate: Let rest, then plate with remaining puree, pine nuts, and basil.

Notes

For a defined swirl, gently swirl the red pepper puree instead of stirring vigorously. Toasting pine nuts enhances their flavor.
