  • 1 medium Carrot, diced (≈100 g)
  • 1 Celery Stalk, diced (≈70 g)
  • 1 small Onion, chopped (≈80 g)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Sauté Vegetables: Sauté onion, carrot, and celery in olive oil until softened. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  2. Slow Cook Chicken: Combine chicken, broth, and sautéed vegetables in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  3. Prepare Dumplings: Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and turmeric. Stir in melted butter, milk, and lemon juice until just combined.
  4. Steam Dumplings: Drop spoonfuls of dumpling batter into simmering broth. Cover and steam for 12-15 minutes.
