Description

These Crispy Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls offer a fun fusion of flavors, combining tender marinated beef, sautéed vegetables, and melted cheeses wrapped in a crispy egg roll wrapper. A spicy jalapeño cheese ribbon adds an extra kick to this addictive appetizer or snack.

  • 1 tsp vegetarian Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 150g provolone cheese, shredded
  • 100g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 12 egg-roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate Beef: Combine beef with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and pepper; marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Sauté onion and bell pepper in olive oil until softened; add garlic during the last minute.
  3. Stir-Fry Beef: Stir-fry marinated beef with vegetables until browned; cool slightly.
  4. Prepare Cheese Ribbon: Combine cream cheese, mozzarella, jalapeño, lime juice, and honey (if using) until smooth.
  5. Assemble Egg Rolls: Fill wrappers with beef mixture, provolone, and cheese ribbon.
  6. Roll and Seal: Fold and roll wrappers tightly, sealing with water.
  7. Fry to Perfection: Fry egg rolls in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Drain and Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
