- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 120 g (4.2 oz) provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp (5 ml) soy sauce
- 1 tsp (5 ml) beef broth concentrate
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 egg roll wrappers (≈10 cm diameter)
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil, for frying
- 80 g (2.8 oz) roasted red pepper jelly
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sriracha
- 1 tsp (5 ml) lime juice
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) chopped chives
Instructions
- Sear Steak & Season: Stir-fry steak until browned, season with soy sauce, beef broth, salt, and pepper.
- Sauté Vegetables: Add onion and peppers to steak, cook until softened.
- Melt Cheese: Stir in provolone until melted. Cool slightly.
- Assemble Rolls: Wrap filling in egg roll wrappers, sealing edges with water.
- Fry Egg Rolls: Fry in hot oil (180°C/350°F) until golden brown and crispy.
- Make Glaze: Combine jelly, honey, sriracha, and lime juice; warm until smooth.
- Glaze & Garnish: Drizzle glaze over egg rolls and garnish with chives.
