Description
Hearty Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna with mozzarella, marinara, and beef. A perfect one-pot Italian dinner—easy, cheesy, and family-friendly.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli (do not thaw)
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey for lighter option)
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 2 cups marinara sauce (or 24 oz jar)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan (optional)
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
- Brown the Meat: Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain most of the grease, but leave about 1–2 tbsp for moisture.
- Prep the Slow Cooker: Spray your slow cooker (5–6 qt) with non-stick spray.
- Layer the Base: Spread 1 cup marinara sauce on the bottom of the crockpot.
- First Layer: Add half the frozen ravioli (direct from the bag).
- Add Meat & Cheese: Spoon over half the meat mixture and 1 cup of cheese.
- Repeat Layers: Layer again—sauce → ravioli → meat → cheese.
- Top It Off: Sprinkle parmesan on top if using.
- Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2.5–3 hours until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
- Rao’s marinara is highly recommended for best flavor; store brands like Classico or Aldi’s Simply Nature work too.
- Use whole milk mozzarella for optimal melt—low-moisture cheeses may clump.
- USDA recommends thawing meat before slow cooking for food safety.
