Description
These Garlic Butter Steak Bites are a quick and easy way to enjoy a restaurant-quality meal at home. Tender steak cubes are seared and smothered in a creamy, savory sauce with garlic, paprika, and Parmesan.
Ingredients
- 500g (1.1lb) Beef Sirloin, cut into 2cm (¾ inch) cubes
- 2 tbsp (30g) Unsalted Butter (plus 1 tbsp for finishing)
- 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (5g) Smoked Paprika
- ½ tsp (2g) Black Pepper, freshly ground
- ½ tsp (2g) Salt
- 200ml (⅞ cup) Heavy Cream
- 60g (2oz) Parmesan Cheese, grated
- Zest of 1 Lemon
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp (30g) Parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare Steak: Pat steak dry, season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Sear Steak: Sear steak in hot butter until browned on all sides.
- Sauté Garlic: Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Create Cream Sauce: Simmer heavy cream, scraping up browned bits.
- Emulsify Sauce: Whisk in Parmesan, lemon zest, and lemon juice until thickened.
- Combine & Finish: Return steak to skillet, coat with sauce, and warm through.
- Add Final Butter: Stir in remaining butter for a glossy finish.
- Plate & Garnish: Plate steak bites, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with parsley.
Notes
For best results, use a heavy-bottomed skillet like cast iron. Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing the steak.
