Description

These Garlic-Butter Steak Bites are a quick and easy restaurant-quality meal, featuring tender steak smothered in a rich, creamy garlic-Parmesan sauce with a vibrant basil pesto swirl.


Ingredients

  • 500g beef sirloin, cubed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 120ml heavy cream
  • 80g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 60ml basil pesto
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp toasted pine nuts
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Pat steak dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Steak: Sear steak in hot oil for 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: Melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Create the Cream Sauce: Return steak to skillet, add cream, and simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Incorporate the Parmesan: Stir in Parmesan and lemon zest until melted.
  6. Swirl in the Pesto: Gently fold in pesto, creating swirls.
  7. Plate and Garnish: Plate steak, spoon sauce over, and garnish with pine nuts and parsley.

Notes

For best results, use a heavy-bottomed skillet like cast iron. Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing the steak.
