- 250g puff pastry (1 sheet)
- 300g halal chicken sausage (4 links), cut into 2in pieces
- 100g cream cheese, softened
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 30ml ketchup (2 tbsp)
- 5ml honey (1 tsp)
- 2.5ml smoked paprika (0.5 tsp)
- 5ml olive oil (1 tsp)
- Extra chives, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 390°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll Out Pastry: Roll puff pastry to 3mm thickness and cut into 8 rectangles (4x2in).
- Make Cream Cheese Filling: Combine cream cheese, garlic, parsley, chives, pepper, and salt.
- Apply Filling & Add Sausage: Spread cream cheese on pastry, top with sausage, and roll tightly.
- Arrange & Brush: Arrange rolls seam-down on baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
- Glaze (Part 1): Brush rolls with half of the ketchup-honey-paprika glaze.
- Bake to Perfection: Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
- Final Glaze & Garnish: Brush with remaining glaze and garnish with chives.
Notes
For best results, use all-butter puff pastry. Feel free to substitute sausage types or use maple syrup instead of honey.
