- 100 g (3.5 oz) halal-certified cream cheese, softened
- 80 g (0.67 cup) powdered sugar
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) pure maple syrup
- 60 ml (0.25 cup) halal salted caramel sauce (for filling)
- 30 g (0.25 cup) toasted pecans, chopped (for filling)
- 60 ml (0.25 cup) halal salted caramel sauce (for glaze)
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) heavy cream
- 20 g (2 tbsp) toasted pecan pieces
- A pinch of flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a muffin tin.
- Cream Sugars & Butter: Whisk melted butter, sugars until smooth.
- Incorporate Eggs & Vanilla: Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine Wet & Dry: Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
- Add Chocolate & Pecans: Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
- Fill Muffin Tin: Divide batter evenly into muffin cups.
- Bake to Perfection: Bake for 12-14 minutes, until edges are set.
- Cooling Time: Cool in tin for 5 minutes, then on a wire rack.
- Prepare Caramel-Pecan Buttercream: Beat butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until fluffy, then add maple syrup, caramel sauce, and pecans.
- Fill the Bombs: Pipe filling into cooled brownie bombs.
- Make Caramel Glaze: Whisk caramel sauce and heavy cream.
- Glaze & Garnish: Drizzle glaze over bombs, top with pecans and flaky salt.
