These Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps offer a fun, portable twist on the classic cheeseburger, featuring juicy beef, melted cheddar, and crisp veggies rolled in a tortilla with a smoky-sweet Chipotle BBQ glaze. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!


Ingredients

  • 400g (14oz) ground beef (80% lean)
  • 5g (1 tsp) salt
  • 2g (½ tsp) black pepper, freshly ground
  • 30ml (2 Tbsp) olive oil, divided
  • 4 large flour tortillas (≈30cm / 12-inch)
  • 100g (3.5oz) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 120ml (½ cup) ketchup
  • 15ml (1 Tbsp) apple cider vinegar
  • 15ml (1 Tbsp) brown sugar
  • 2g (½ tsp) smoked paprika
  • 2g (½ tsp) chipotle powder
  • 1g (¼ tsp) garlic powder
  • 50g (½ cup) red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small tomato, thinly sliced
  • 30g (½ cup) lettuce, shredded
  • 8g (1 Tbsp) sesame seeds, toasted
  • 8g (2 Tbsp) cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Make Chipotle Glaze: Combine glaze ingredients and simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened. Reserve half for ribbon effect.
  2. Form Burger Patties: Divide beef into 4 portions, shape into patties, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill Burger Patties: Grill patties for 3-4 minutes per side, until cooked through. Top with cheddar cheese during the last minute.
  4. Warm Tortillas: Warm tortillas on the grill for 20 seconds per side.
  5. Assemble Wraps: Drizzle glaze on tortilla, layer lettuce, tomato, onion, and patty. Add more glaze.
  6. Roll Wraps: Fold sides in and roll tightly. Brush seam with oil to seal.
  7. Sear Wraps: Grill wraps for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve & Garnish: Slice wraps diagonally, drizzle with glaze, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and cilantro.
