- 800g (1lb 12oz) Chicken Thighs, cubed
- 60ml (¼ cup) Honey
- 60ml (¼ cup) Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 4 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp (5ml) Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp (5g) Ginger, grated
- 1 tsp (5g) Smoked Paprika
- ½ tsp (2g) Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Vegetable Oil
- 1 tbsp (8g) Cornstarch with 2 tbsp (30ml) Water
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp (15g) Sesame Seeds
- 2 tbsp (30g) Scallions, sliced
- Pinch Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Chicken: Season chicken with pepper and paprika.
- Whisk Glaze: Combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, vinegar, ginger, and pepper flakes.
- Sear Chicken: Sear chicken in oil until browned.
- Glaze & Simmer: Add half the glaze and simmer for 1 minute.
- Bake to Perfection: Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 12-15 minutes.
- Thicken Sauce: Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
- Finish & Serve: Drizzle with sesame oil, garnish with sesame seeds and scallions.
Notes
Using raw honey enhances the flavor. Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level. Serve with rice or vegetables.
