- 2 tbsp (30ml) Honey
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 tsp Lime Zest
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Halal Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp (5ml) Toasted Sesame Oil
- 1 Clove Garlic, Minced
- 1 tsp (5g) Fresh Ginger, Grated
- ½ tsp (2.5g) Sea Salt
- ¼ tsp (1g) Black Pepper
- 2 Ripe Hass Avocados, Sliced
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Olive Oil
- 1 tsp (5g) Sesame Seeds
- 2 tbsp (30g) Cilantro, Chopped
- 2 Lime Wedges
- Pinch Red Chili Flakes (Optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Marinade: Whisk honey, lime juice, zest, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate Chicken: Cut chicken, coat with marinade, and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
- Sear Chicken: Heat oil, sear chicken 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through.
- Rest Chicken: Let chicken rest for 5 minutes.
- Make Glaze: Simmer remaining marinade until thickened.
- Slice & Assemble: Slice chicken and arrange with avocado.
- Plate & Garnish: Drizzle with glaze, sprinkle with sesame seeds and cilantro, and garnish with lime.
Notes
For best results, use fresh lime juice and ginger. Marinating the chicken for longer enhances flavor and tenderness. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
