- 2 Tbsp (30 ml) Vegetable Oil
- 4 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (5g) Ginger, grated
- 3 Tbsp (45 ml) Honey
- 2 Tbsp (30 ml) Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Rice Vinegar
- ½ tsp (2g) Smoked Paprika
- ½ tsp (2g) Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp (5g) Cornstarch with 2 tsp (10 ml) Water
- 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Lime Juice
- 1 Tbsp (15g) Cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp (5g) Sesame Seeds, toasted
- 2 Scallions, sliced
- ½ tsp (2.5 ml) Chili Oil (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Chicken: Pat chicken dry and season lightly.
- Sear Chicken: Sear chicken in oil over medium-high heat until golden brown and cooked through.
- Sauté Aromatics: Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Create Sauce: Combine honey, soy sauce, vinegar, paprika, and pepper flakes; simmer.
- Thicken Glaze: Add cornstarch slurry and simmer until thickened.
- Combine & Finish: Return chicken to skillet, coat with sauce, and heat through.
- Rest & Serve: Let rest for 2 minutes, then garnish and serve.
Notes
Using chicken thighs keeps the dish moist. Adjust red pepper flakes to control the heat. A good sear is key for flavor.
