  • 1 tsp (5ml) Chipotle in Adobo Sauce, Minced: smoky heat

  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Broth: for swirl consistency
  • Chives, Chopped: fresh garnish
  • Pickled Cucumber Ribbons: tangy garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté Vegetables: Sauté onion, carrot, and celery in olive oil until softened (5-6 minutes).
  2. Bloom Garlic: Add garlic and cook until fragrant (1 minute).
  3. Brown Beef: Brown ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon (4-5 minutes).
  4. Add Spices: Stir in tomato paste, smoked paprika, cumin, and mustard powder; cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Simmer Soup: Add diced tomatoes, broth, and water; bring to a simmer.
  6. Cook Macaroni: Add macaroni and cook until al dente (10-12 minutes).
