  • 120ml (½ cup) Whole Milk
  • 2 tsp (10ml) Vanilla Extract
  • 60ml (¼ cup) Maple Syrup
  • 200g (7oz) Cream Cheese, softened
  • 50g (¼ cup) Powdered Sugar (for swirl)
  • 30ml (2 Tbsp) Maple Syrup (for swirl)
  • 1 tsp (5ml) Lemon Juice (for swirl)
  • 120g (1 cup) Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
  • 30g (2 Tbsp) Unsalted Butter, melted (for glaze)
  • 30ml (2 Tbsp) Maple Syrup (for glaze)
  • Pinch of Smoked Sea Salt (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20x30cm pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: Whisk melted butter, sugar, egg, milk, vanilla, and maple syrup.
  4. Mix Batter: Gently combine wet and dry ingredients until just incorporated.
  5. First Batter Layer: Spread half the batter into the pan.
  6. Make Cream Cheese Swirl: Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, maple syrup, and lemon juice.
  7. Swirl Creation: Drop swirl mixture over batter and gently swirl.
  8. Second Batter Layer: Spread remaining batter over swirl.
