  • 30 g (2 Tbsp) unsalted butter: For browning and richness.
  • 15 ml (1 Tbsp) extra-virgin olive oil: Adds fruity depth.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced: For aromatic flavor.
  • 120 ml (½ cup) heavy cream: Creates a velvety sauce.
  • 50 g (½ cup) grated Parmesan cheese: Adds salty, umami flavor.
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika: Introduces a smoky note.
  • 1 tsp lemon zest: Brightens the sauce.
  • 1 Tbsp truffle oil (optional): For a luxurious aroma.
  • 100 g (3½ oz) cherry tomatoes, halved: Adds sweetness and acidity.
  • 30 g (2 Tbsp) toasted pine nuts: Provides a nutty crunch.
  • 10 g (¼ cup) fresh basil leaves, torn: Adds fresh aroma.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste: For seasoning.
  • Microgreens, a handful: For visual appeal.

Instructions

  1. Boil Gnocchi: Cook gnocchi in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes, until floating. Drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  3. Infuse Butter & Oil: Melt butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sauté Garlic: Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  5. Sear Gnocchi: Sear gnocchi in a single layer for 5 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Oven Finish: Bake skillet in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Prepare Sauce: Warm cream, paprika, zest, and truffle oil. Stir in Parmesan until thickened.
  8. Season Sauce: Season sauce with salt and pepper.
  9. Combine & Coat: Toss gnocchi with warm sauce.
  10. Add Tomatoes: Stir in cherry tomatoes and cook for 1 minute.
