- 100g (3.5oz) Cream Cheese (softened, full-fat)
- 100g (3.5oz) Toasted Hazelnut Crumbs
- 150g (5.5oz) Dark Chocolate (70% cacao, chopped)
- 60ml (1/4 cup) Heavy Cream
- 15g (1 Tbsp) Unsalted Butter (cut into pieces)
- 1 tsp Orange Zest (from 1 medium orange)
- 0.5 tsp Fine Sea Salt
- Cocoa Powder (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
- Toast Hazelnuts: Toast hazelnuts at 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes, then grind into fine crumbs.
- Combine Nutella & Cream Cheese: Mix Nutella and softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Chill Mixture: Refrigerate the Nutella mixture for at least 10 minutes.
- Shape Nutella Balls: Roll chilled mixture into 15g (0.5oz) balls.
- Coat with Hazelnuts: Roll balls in toasted hazelnut crumbs.
- Freeze Balls: Freeze coated balls for at least 20 minutes.
- Prepare Chocolate Glaze: Heat cream, butter, salt, and orange zest until simmering.
- Melt Chocolate: Add chopped chocolate to the hot cream and whisk until smooth.
- Glaze Nutella Balls: Dip frozen balls in glaze and let excess drip off.
- Set Glaze: Let glaze set at room temperature for 15 minutes, then refrigerate for 10 minutes.
