- 6 cups (150g) Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup (250g) Creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup (115g) Melted unsalted butter
- ¼ cup (85g) Honey
- 1 tsp (5ml) Alcohol-free vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp (1g) Fine sea salt
- 1 cup (200g) Brown sugar
- ¼ cup (60ml) Heavy cream
- 2 tbsp (30g) Unsalted butter
- ½ tsp (2g) Flaky sea salt
- ¼ cup (30g) Toasted chopped peanuts, plus extra for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Pan: Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt Ingredients: Combine butter, peanut butter, honey, vanilla, and salt over low heat.
- Add Cereal: Fold in Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
- Press Mixture: Press firmly into the prepared pan.
- Make Caramel: Melt butter and brown sugar, then whisk in heavy cream and simmer.
- Salt & Swirl: Stir in flaky sea salt and swirl caramel over bars.
- Add Peanuts & Chill: Sprinkle with peanuts and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Cut & Serve: Cut into 12 bars.
Notes
For clean cuts, run a knife under hot water between each slice. Toasting peanuts enhances their flavor and crunch.
