Description

Delicious, cheesy Pizza Bites with Marinara Dipping Sauce are perfect for quick, family-friendly meals. Made with pre-made dough, mozzarella, and pepperoni for a stress-free bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube crescent rolls, biscuit dough, or puff pastry (pre-made dough)
  • 1 cup store-bought or homemade marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini or chopped slices pepperoni
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Dough (5 minutes): Unroll crescent dough (don’t separate triangles), or roll out biscuit dough/puff pastry to about 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into 2-inch squares. If using crescent rolls, you can also press seams together.
  2. Assemble the Bites (10 minutes): Place a teaspoon of marinara, a sprinkle of cheese, and a few mini pepperonis (or other toppings) onto the center of each dough square. Don’t overfill, or sealing will be tricky!
  3. Form the Pizza Bites (5 minutes): Bring the corners of the dough together over the filling and pinch firmly to seal. Roll gently between your palms to form a neat ball. Ensure seams are tight to prevent cheese leakage.
  4. Bake to Golden Perfection (15-20 minutes): Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil. Bake at 375°F (190°C) until golden brown and puffed up, with cheese visibly melted inside. For extra crispy, bake in an air fryer at 350°F for 8-10 minutes. For a mini muffin tin version, press dough into greased tin before filling.
  5. Warm the Marinara (5 minutes): Gently heat your remaining marinara sauce on the stovetop or in the microwave for dipping. Serve your golden Pizza Bites with Marinara Dipping Sauce right away!

Notes

  • Substitutions & Add-ins: Customize with cooked sausage, diced ham, chopped bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, cooked bacon bits, provolone, Parmesan, or a blend of Italian cheeses. Wonton wrappers can be used for an extra-crispy bite. Try ranch dressing, garlic butter, or pesto for dipping.
  • Quality Tips: Use good quality marinara sauce and freshly shredded mozzarella for best results. Choose a pepperoni brand you love.
  • Troubleshooting: To avoid soggy bites or cheese leakage, do not overfill and pinch dough seams very firmly to seal.
