Description

A homemade, caffeine-free blended vanilla bean frappuccino with a vibrant raspberry rose swirl and whipped cream topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar (for swirl)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon alcohol-free rose water
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar (for frappuccino base)
  • 1 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla bean paste
  • 0.25 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 0.5 cup cold heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon freeze-dried raspberries, crushed (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Raspberry Rose Swirl: In a small saucepan, combine raspberries, 0.25 cup granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the raspberries break down and the mixture thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl; discard the solids. Stir in the alcohol-free rose water, then let the swirl cool completely before chilling until slightly thickened; refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a separate chilled bowl, combine the cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, whip on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
  3. Make the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino Base: In a high-speed blender, combine the milk, 0.25 cup granulated sugar, vanilla bean paste, and xanthan gum. Add the ice cubes. Blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds, or until completely smooth and thick.
  4. Assemble the Frappuccino: Drizzle some of the chilled Raspberry Rose Swirl sauce along the inside walls of two tall glasses. Pour half of the blended frappuccino base into each glass. Add a small dollop of the Raspberry Rose Swirl sauce onto the frappuccino layer in each glass. Gently top with the remaining frappuccino mixture. Top generously with the prepared whipped cream, drizzle additional Raspberry Rose Swirl sauce over the cream, and finish with a sprinkle of crushed freeze-dried raspberries. Serve immediately.

Notes

Prepare the raspberry swirl in advance and ensure it is cold before assembly to prevent the frappuccino from melting too quickly. Xanthan gum is essential for achieving the signature thick texture of a copycat frappuccino.
