Description

These Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles are a quick and satisfying meal with tender chicken and a luscious garlic sauce. It’s an Asian-inspired dish perfect for a weeknight dinner.

  • 500g (1.1lb) Chicken Thighs: cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 250g (9oz) Wheat Noodles
  • 6 Cloves Garlic: minced
  • 1 Tbsp (15g) Ginger: finely grated
  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Tbsp (45ml) Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp (30ml) Honey
  • 1 Tbsp (12g) Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp (5ml) Rice Vinegar
  • ¼ cup (60ml) Vegetable Broth
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch mixed with 2 Tbsp Cold Water
  • ½ tsp (2g) Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp (5ml) Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 2 Green Onions: sliced
  • 1 Tbsp (9g) Sesame Seeds
  • ½ tsp Lime Zest (optional)
  • Cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep Ingredients: Mince garlic, grate ginger, and cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cook Noodles: Boil noodles until al dente, drain, and rinse with cold water.
  3. Make Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, broth, and cornstarch slurry.
  4. Sear Chicken: Stir-fry chicken in oil until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Sauté Aromatics: Sauté garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
  6. Combine & Thicken: Return chicken to pan, add sauce, and simmer until thickened.
  7. Coat Noodles: Add noodles and sesame oil, toss to coat.
  8. Rest & Serve: Let rest for 2 minutes, then garnish and serve.

Notes

For optimal flavor, use fresh garlic and ginger. Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing the chicken.
