- 500g (1.1lb) Chicken Thighs: cut into bite-sized pieces
- 250g (9oz) Wheat Noodles
- 6 Cloves Garlic: minced
- 1 Tbsp (15g) Ginger: finely grated
- 2 Tbsp (30ml) Vegetable Oil
- 3 Tbsp (45ml) Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp (30ml) Honey
- 1 Tbsp (12g) Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp (5ml) Rice Vinegar
- ¼ cup (60ml) Vegetable Broth
- 2 tsp Cornstarch mixed with 2 Tbsp Cold Water
- ½ tsp (2g) Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp (5ml) Toasted Sesame Oil
- 2 Green Onions: sliced
- 1 Tbsp (9g) Sesame Seeds
- ½ tsp Lime Zest (optional)
- Cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Prep Ingredients: Mince garlic, grate ginger, and cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- Cook Noodles: Boil noodles until al dente, drain, and rinse with cold water.
- Make Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, broth, and cornstarch slurry.
- Sear Chicken: Stir-fry chicken in oil until golden brown and cooked through.
- Sauté Aromatics: Sauté garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
- Combine & Thicken: Return chicken to pan, add sauce, and simmer until thickened.
- Coat Noodles: Add noodles and sesame oil, toss to coat.
- Rest & Serve: Let rest for 2 minutes, then garnish and serve.
Notes
For optimal flavor, use fresh garlic and ginger. Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing the chicken.
