- 60g cream cheese (halal-certified)
- 15ml honey
- 5ml vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
- Pinch sea salt
- 250g strawberries, hulled and diced
- 15g granulated sugar
- 10ml lemon juice
- 15g sliced almonds, toasted
- 2 sprigs fresh mint, torn
- Extra honey (optional)
Instructions
- Toast Baguette Slices: Brush baguette with melted butter and toast at 180°C (350°F) for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Prepare Mascarpone Spread: Blend mascarpone, cream cheese, honey, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Chill for 10 minutes.
- Craft Strawberry Compote: Cook strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice for 4-5 minutes until softened. Cool completely.
- Spread Mascarpone: Spread chilled mascarpone onto toasted baguette slices.
- Add Compote: Spoon cooled strawberry compote onto mascarpone.
- Garnish & Finish: Drizzle with honey, sprinkle with almonds, and garnish with mint.
Notes
For best results, use ripe, in-season strawberries. Chilling the mascarpone spread makes it easier to spread.
