- 8 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1.5 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 16 ounces fettuccine pasta
- Salted water
Instructions
- Step 1: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook fettuccine until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
- Step 2: Season chicken breasts with flour, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder in a shallow dish.
- Step 3: Sear chicken in a skillet with 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat until golden brown and cooked through, then set aside.
- Step 4: Sauté minced garlic in the remaining butter over medium heat until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Step 5: Whisk in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Step 6: Gradually add Parmesan, whisking constantly until smooth and creamy.
- Step 7: Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce until well coated, adding reserved pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.
- Step 8: Slice the rested chicken and generously top the sauced pasta before serving immediately.
