Description

Shrimp coated in a simple seasoning and spaghetti are tossed together in a creamy sauce that is full of spice for this bang bang shrimp recipe dish that is beyond big on taste.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayo
  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1½ teaspoons sriracha sauce
  • 8 ounces spaghetti noodles
  • 12 ounces medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • fresh chopped parsley or cilantro (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Step: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayo, sweet chili sauce, lime juice, and sriracha sauce until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Step: In a medium mixing bowl, toss together the shrimp, ½ tablespoon olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Step: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  4. Step: Add the coated shrimp and stir constantly for 8 to 10 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and is cooked through. Turn off the stovetop.
  5. Step: Add the cooked spaghetti and prepared sauce to the skillet with the shrimp and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Step: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley or cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

You can use frozen shrimp by thawing them in a bowl of cold water for 20 minutes. Al dente is the ideal texture for the pasta. Using a new jar of room temperature mayonnaise can enhance the flavor of the sauce.
