Description
TikTok spaghetti is meaty, super cheesy, with red sauce, and an Alfredo-like sauce. This has to be one of the most comforting spaghetti recipes ever made.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef, 80/20
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 1/2 (24-ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 16 ounces spaghetti
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cup parmesan
- 2 cups Mozzarella
Instructions
- Preheat: Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Sauté Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a 12-inch skillet, stir in onion and green pepper, and sauté over medium heat until translucent.
- Add Garlic: Stir in garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Cook Beef: Add ground beef to the skillet, cook and crumble over medium heat until no longer pink, and drain off any grease.
- Simmer Sauce: Add salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and spaghetti sauce; set aside.
- Cook Pasta: Cook spaghetti according to package instructions with 1 tablespoon salt, then drain.
- Prepare Roux: Melt butter in a separate pan, add garlic and sauté on low for about 1 minute, then sprinkle flour over garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
- Make Cream Sauce: Remove from heat and whisk in heavy cream until smooth.
- Melt Cheese: Return to heat and stir in parmesan cheese until melted.
- Coat Pasta: Add drained pasta to Alfredo sauce and toss to evenly coat.
- Layer Pasta: Spread coated pasta into the prepared baking pan in an even layer.
- Layer Sauce: Top pasta with red sauce without mixing the layers.
- Bake: Sprinkle top with mozzarella and bake uncovered for about 30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Finish: Let cool for 10 minutes, sprinkle top with fresh parsley and a little dried Italian seasoning, and serve.
Notes
Cook pasta just to al dente so it doesn’t get too soft after baking. Shred mozzarella and parmesan yourself for a smoother melt. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving to help it set.
