Description

A rich and creamy Alfredo sauce made with Parmesan cheese, garlic, butter, cream, and egg yolks for extra depth. Ready in just 10 minutes!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (optional)
  • 8 large egg yolks
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ground black pepper (to taste)
  • salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Step: Add butter to a large, high-lipped pan, and melt over medium heat.
  2. Step: In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and heavy cream.
  3. Step: Add garlic here, if desired, and sautee for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Step: Once the butter has melted, slowly add the egg mixture to the pan, whisking continuously.
  5. Step: Continue to whisk for about 5 minutes.
  6. Step: Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper, let Parmesan fully melt.
  7. Step: Add cooked pasta to the pan and toss to coat.
  8. Step: Remove from heat and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.

Notes

For a flavor boost, add grilled chicken, sautéed broccoli, or Italian seasonings. For a smoky touch, add plant-based bacon crumbles.
