Description

This One-Pot Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta is a quick meal with juicy shrimp and a creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and cook spaghetti until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Melt: In the same pot, add the unsalted butter and heat it over medium.
  3. Sauté: Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Cook: Add the peeled shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink.
  5. Mix: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream; stir well to combine.
  6. Combine: Add the cooked spaghetti and reserved pasta water back into the pot, tossing until evenly coated.
  7. Finish: Stir in parmesan cheese until melted, then remove from heat.
  8. Garnish: Serve immediately, topped with fresh parsley and additional parmesan.
