Description

An iconic salad topper from the early 1900s in San Francisco, based on the classic Crab Louie Salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1 TBS Horseradish
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • Juice of one Lemon
  • 1 Green Onion, Sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix: In a large bowl mix all ingredients together.
  2. Rest: Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes before serving on your Shrimp Louie Salad.

Notes

To thin the dressing, add a couple of tablespoons of olive oil. If making ahead of time, add the horseradish just before serving to control the spiciness.
