This oven baked bone in chicken thighs recipe is simple and quick. Seasoned and cooked to perfection, the easy baked chicken thighs are bursting with flavors, with crispy skin, and juicy, tender inside.

- 6 pieces bone-in chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion granules
- 1/8 teaspoon parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1.5 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat: Preheat the oven to a temperature of 400F/200C.
- Mix: In a small bowl, mix the paprika, onion granules, garlic powder, parsley, thyme, salt, black pepper, and olive oil.
- Prepare: Clean the chicken thighs and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Season: Rub the seasoning mix all over the chicken thighs covering all sides.
- Arrange: Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs skin side up on a baking tray.
- Bake: Put the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake bone-in chicken thighs at a temperature of 400F/200C for 45 minutes.
- Rest: When it’s cooked tender inside with crispy skin, bring the baking tray out of the oven. Let the chicken thighs rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve: Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Pat chicken thighs dry before seasoning. You can easily take off the skin if you prefer skinless bone in chicken thighs. Don’t overcrowd the baking pan. Check that the internal temperature of chicken is at least 165F before taking it out and serving. Rest chicken for 5 minutes before cutting into it so the juice has time to redistribute.
