Crispy Chicken Tenders made with a light breading of flour, panko crumbs and seasonings
Ingredients

- 2 chicken breast (boneless, skinless)
- ½ cup flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup flour
- ¾ cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups oil (canola or vegetable oil)
Instructions
- Prepare Chicken: Cut chicken into strips and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Prepare Flour Coating: Combine flour and salt in a bowl.
- Prepare Egg Wash: Combine eggs and milk in another bowl.
- Prepare Breading: Combine additional flour, salt, panko crumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper in a third bowl.
- Assemble Chicken: Dredge chicken into flour, dip into egg mixture, and then dredge in the panko mixture.
- Fry: Preheat oil to 350°F and cook strips for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Finish: Remove and place on a baking rack over a baking sheet.
Notes
Try to keep tenders about the same thickness for equal cooking times. Do not overcrowd the pan and ensure oil returns to 350°F between batches.
