Description
Whip up a tender Air-Fryer BBQ Chicken Breast recipe in just 30 minutes. Enjoy smoky, juicy chicken without firing up the grill.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 1/2– 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Olive oil or oil spray for coating
- 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Step: Combine paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and sea salt in a small bowl.
- Step: Pound chicken breasts to even thickness, pat dry, and coat with olive oil.
- Step: Apply the spice mixture to both sides of the chicken, pressing gently to ensure it adheres.
- Step: Preheat the air fryer to 360°F. Lightly oil the air fryer basket and place the chicken breasts presentation side down.
- Step: Cook the chicken for 10 minutes, then flip it and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches approximately 165°F, which should take about 8–10 minutes more.
- Step: Generously brush the BBQ sauce over the chicken and return to the air fryer for 1–2 minutes.
- Step: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Pounding the chicken breasts to a uniform thickness is essential for even cooking and preventing the meat from drying out. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
