- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion
- 1 medium green pepper
- 3 tsp garlic
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 24-ounce jar pasta sauce
- 1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes
- 1 ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1½ tsp Italian Seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 ½ cups macaroni pasta
- 1 ¾ cups cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Step: In a large skillet, brown the hamburger until it is fully cooked. Drain off excess fat and add to the slow cooker.
- Step: Add onions, green peppers, garlic, beef broth, paprika, pasta sauce, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine everything.
- Step: Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 2½ to 3½ hours.
- Step: One hour before cooking time is finished, add macaroni pasta and stir into the mixture. Cover and cook for the remaining hour.
- Step: When the pasta is done cooking, add in cheddar cheese and stir until well combined.
- Step: Serve while hot.
Notes
Use a crockpot liner for easy cleanup. If the sauce is too thick, stir in a little extra beef broth before serving. Season to taste with extra salt and pepper if desired.
