Description

A kid-friendly, one-pot pasta dish that combines fusilli with a creamy marinara sauce for a quick and wholesome weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups dried fusilli pasta
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 1 cup jarred marinara sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Step: Combine the uncooked pasta, milk, marinara, and water in a large saucepan. Stir until well combined, then turn the heat on to high. Bring the contents to a boil.
  2. Step: Once boiling, stir in the salt and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook, stirring often, until the pasta is tender, the liquid has mostly absorbed, and the sauce is thickened, 12 to 15 minutes.
  3. Step: Remove from heat, divide amongst bowls, and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be reheated in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of milk or water until rehydrated. This dish is not recommended for freezing due to the dairy content.
