Description
Fall-apart chicken skewers basted with a homemade garlic parmesan sauce throughout the cooking process and easily prepared in an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs or breast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 stick butter
- 8–10 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup parmesan, grated
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup fresh parsley, minced
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Prep and Skewer: Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes, toss chicken pieces in olive oil and the seasoning mixture, and pack them tightly onto skewers.
- Make Sauce: Combine butter, garlic, red pepper flakes, hot sauce, parsley, and parmesan in a microwave-safe bowl and heat until melted; divide into a basting portion and a reserved final portion.
- Cook: Air fry 2-3 skewers at 400°F for 5 minutes, flip and baste for 2 minutes, then baste again and cook for 5-6 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Finish: Apply a final baste of the reserved garlic sauce and sprinkle with extra parmesan.
Notes
Oven: Preheat to 450°F, bake on foil-lined sheet for 14 minutes (flipping and basting), then broil for 2 minutes. Grill: Medium-high heat, cook 5-6 minutes per side while basting.
