Description

Homemade taco seasoning that is easy to make and tastes better than store-bought versions, using simple pantry staples.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Step 2: Store in a plastic baggie for up to 3 months.
  3. Step 3: To make taco beef, brown 1 pound of ground beef, then add the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water and let it sizzle for 30-90 seconds until thickened.
