Description
These Honey Mustard Chicken Thighs are slow cooked until juicy, flavorful, and perfectly tender. With a sweet and tangy honey mustard sauce and crisp-tender green beans, this is a complete meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
- 1/2 cup Honey Dijon Mustard
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 stick Salted Butter
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1/2 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 lb Green Beans, trimmed and washed
Instructions
- Step: Add honey Dijon mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, butter, garlic powder, salt, and chicken broth to the bottom of your slow cooker. Set to high and stir until butter melts and mixture is smooth.
- Step: Place chicken thighs in a single layer and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Step: Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours or low for 5 hours, until chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Step: Push chicken to the side and stir in green beans. Cover again and cook 30 minutes on high or 1 hour on low, until tender but crisp.
- Step: Taste sauce and season with black pepper. Serve hot with white rice, brown rice, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
If you notice that the sauce is starting to stick or burn on the sides, simply stir it around. This creates nice caramelization on the meat.
