Description
A guide to baking chicken breasts that are perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy every time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 2 chicken breasts (boneless or bone-in)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Step: Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Step: In a small bowl combine the salt and spices with oil to create a paste. Coat chicken breasts with the paste.
- Step: Place the chicken in a small baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through and no longer pink. The internal temperature should reach 165-degrees.
- Step: For bone-in chicken breasts, add 5 minutes to the baking time and check for doneness.
Notes
Let chicken reach room temperature 30 to 45 minutes before baking for more even cooking. Let the meat rest for at least 5 minutes, tented with foil, after baking. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 4 months.
