Description
This classic lasagna with beef and crème fraîche is quick and easy to prepare. A fail-safe recipe that tastes just like from your favorite Italian restaurant.

- 1 clove garlic
- 1 red onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 500 g ground beef
- 1000 g tomato purée
- 1 tsp herbs de Provence
- 200 g crème fraîche
- 240 g lasagna sheets
- 100 g Gouda cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Step: Peel the garlic and onion, then chop both into fine cubes.
- Step: Heat the oil in a pot and brown the ground beef until crumbly.
- Step: Add the diced garlic and onion and sauté together.
- Step: Stir in the tomato purée and herbs de Provence, season with salt and pepper, and simmer on medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- Step: Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) top/bottom heat.
- Step: Layer the sauce and lasagna sheets alternately in a baking dish, starting and ending with sauce.
- Step: Spread the crème fraîche over the top and sprinkle with the grated Gouda, then bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
You can prepare the lasagna in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to one day before baking. Leftovers stay fresh in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
