Ingredients

  • Crispy Herb: 6-8 chicken legs, 3 Tbsp vegetable oil, 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning, 1 Tbsp onion powder, 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • Crispy Parmesan: 6-8 chicken legs, 1½ cups grated parmesan cheese, 1½ tsp garlic powder, 1½ tsp dried parsley, 1½ tsp paprika, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp ground black pepper, ½ cup melted salted butter
  • Barbecue: 6-8 chicken legs, 1 cup barbecue sauce, 1 tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp ground black pepper, ½ tsp paprika, ¼ tsp cayenne powder, ¼ tsp onion powder
  • Honey Glazed: 6-8 chicken legs, ¼ cup honey, ¼ cup soy sauce, 1 Tbsp vegetable oil, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp ginger powder, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp ground black pepper, 1 Tbsp cornstarch, 1 Tbsp warm water
  • Oven Fried: 6-8 chicken legs, ½ cup salted butter, ½ cup all purpose flour, 1 tsp paprika, ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • Sweet and Sour: 6-8 chicken legs, 14 oz tomato sauce, 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 2 Tbsp white vinegar, 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce, ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Crispy Herb: Preheat oven to 425°F. Line baking sheet with foil or use a rack. Mix oil, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder in a bowl. Toss chicken drumsticks until evenly coated. Place on baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  2. Crispy Parmesan: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with foil or use a rack. Mix parmesan cheese, garlic powder, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Melt butter in a separate bowl. Pat chicken dry. Dip chicken in melted butter, then roll in parmesan mixture. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
  3. Barbecue: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with foil or use a rack. Mix barbecue sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, cayenne, and onion powder. Pat chicken dry and toss in mixture. Marinate in fridge for 30 minutes. Place on baking sheet, brush with extra sauce, and bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping and brushing halfway through.
  4. Honey Glazed: Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix honey, soy sauce, oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl or ziploc bag. Pat chicken dry and marinate in fridge for 2 hours, flipping halfway. Stir cornstarch and warm water until dissolved. Place chicken in baking dish, mix cornstarch slurry into the marinade, and pour over chicken. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Oven Fried: Preheat oven to 424°F. Place butter in baking dish and melt in oven. Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Pat chicken dry and coat in flour mixture. Place chicken in the baking dish with melted butter. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Sweet and Sour: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with foil or use a rack. Mix tomato sauce, brown sugar, white vinegar, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Pat chicken dry and place on sheet. Brush each leg with sauce. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping and brushing halfway.

Notes

Pat chicken legs dry with paper towels before seasoning for crispier skin. Use a meat thermometer to ensure an internal temperature of 165°F. Let meat rest for a few minutes before serving to redistribute juices.
