Description

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in and skin-on)
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • chopped green onions
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Step: In a large crockpot, combine all the sauce ingredients and mix until fully blended.
  2. Step: Add the chicken thighs and toss them with the mixture to coat both sides completely, ensuring the chicken is skin side up.
  3. Step: Cook on LOW for 7 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
  4. Step: Broil for a few minutes before serving to make the chicken crispier.

Notes

Use chicken thighs to keep the meat tender and moist. To thicken the sauce, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 1 teaspoon cold water and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
