Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
- 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Sliced green onions or chives, for garnish
- Crumbled blue cheese, for garnish
- Tortilla chips, celery sticks, crackers, or crusty bread
Instructions
- Step: Spread the softened cream cheese across the bottom of the crock pot, then pour the ranch dressing and hot sauce evenly over the cream cheese.
- Step: Sprinkle shredded chicken over the sauces, add garlic powder and onion powder, and top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Step: Place the lid on your slow cooker and set it to cook on LOW for 2-3 hours or on HIGH for 1-1.5 hours until the cheese is completely melted and edges are bubbly.
- Step: Remove the lid, stir thoroughly until completely combined, turn the slow cooker to the ‘WARM’ setting, and garnish with fresh green onions or chives.
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese for a smoother melt. Shred cheese from a block to avoid anti-caking agents that can cause graininess. Check the dip around the 90-minute mark to prevent scorching.
