Description
Tender, juicy, and packed with classic spicy Buffalo flavor, this slow cooker buffalo chicken is incredibly easy to make and perfect for sandwiches, salads, or dips.
Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or chicken thighs)
- 1 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning mix
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Prepare Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the Frank’s RedHot sauce, melted butter, dry ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- Cook: Pour the buffalo ranch sauce evenly over the chicken in the slow cooker, ensuring the chicken is coated. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Shred: Shred the chicken using two forks and return it to the slow cooker, stirring to combine it with the sauce.
- Rest: Let the chicken sit in the sauce on the ‘Keep Warm’ setting for at least 15 minutes to absorb all the flavor.
Notes
Serving Suggestions: This versatile chicken is perfect for sandwiches with blue cheese or ranch dressing, nachos, quesadillas, or a hearty Buffalo chicken dip. Spice Level: For a milder sauce, increase the butter to 3/4 cup. For a spicier kick, reduce the butter or add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
