Packed with protein and smothered in a tangy sauce, this Dr Pepper BBQ Chicken is a simple, sticky, savory, and sweet masterpiece made with just 3 ingredients in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 18 ounces Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce
  • 6 ounces Dr. Pepper

Instructions

  1. Gather: Gather your ingredients.
  2. Cook: Cook chicken in Crockpot on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 6 hours. (covered)
  3. Drain: After 3 hours on HIGH or 6 hours on LOW, drain juices from crockpot.
  4. Mix: Mix together Dr. Pepper and BBQ Sauce in a mixing bowl.
  5. Finish: Pour mixture over chicken, and cook on HIGH for 30 more minutes (covered), or until done.

Notes

When your chicken is done cooking, and before you add the sauce, you can shred the chicken breasts to create Dr Pepper pulled chicken. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
