Description

Slow cooker honey garlic chicken legs are a perfect dish to serve up on a busy weeknight. Minimal prep work required and the honey garlic sauce is finger-licking good.


Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 chicken legs
  • 2 tsp garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp onion, minced fine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • green onion and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season: With the minced onions and pepper season the chicken.
  2. Base: Pour the chicken broth into the slow cooker and place seasoned chicken on top.
  3. Sauce: In a bowl add your honey, garlic, soy sauce, and mix well. Pour this mixture over your chicken.
  4. Cook: Set to low for 5-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked.
  5. Thicken: Remove chicken from slow cooker. Mix the cornstarch and water together and stir into the sauce in slow cooker.
  6. Finish: Place chicken back into the slow cooker and turn to high for 20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  7. Serve: Serve on a bed of rice if you would like and garnish.

Notes

Serve with a side of rice, crisp green salad, or steamed vegetables.
