- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup sriracha sauce
- 1 ½ lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast
- 2 teaspoons corn starch
- 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, minced
Instructions
- Step 1: Add soy sauce, honey, and sriracha to a slow cooker and whisk the ingredients together.
- Step 2: Add the chicken to the slow cooker and toss to coat.
- Step 3: Cook the chicken on high for 2-3 hours, or on low for 4-6 hours.
- Step 4: When the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and set aside.
- Step 5: Add the cornstarch to the slow cooker and whisk.
- Step 6: Cover the slow cooker and set it to high until the sauce thickens and sticks to a spoon.
- Step 7: Cut the chicken into small ½-inch cubes.
- Step 8: Add the chicken back to the slow cooker and toss to coat.
- Step 9: Serve over white rice and top with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier result. Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the heat level based on preference.
