Description
A lazy day crock pot lasagna recipe featuring a fun twist on the traditional version using cheesy ravioli for an easy, comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag frozen cheese ravioli (25 oz)
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
- 3 cans crushed tomatoes (15 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Salt
- 4 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large skillet, brown 1 lb ground beef completely and drain off any remaining fat.
- Step 2: Stir in 3 cans crushed tomatoes (15 oz each), 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning, and 1 tablespoon garlic salt until well combined.
- Step 3: In a 6 quart crock pot, cover the bottom with some of the sauce.
- Step 4: Add a layer of the 1 bag frozen cheese ravioli (25 oz) over the sauce, then top with some of the 4 cups mozzarella cheese.
- Step 5: Continue layering the remaining meat sauce, the remaining ravioli, and more of the mozzarella cheese until all of the meat sauce and ravioli are used, making sure the top layer is meat sauce.
- Step 6: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and ¼ cup parmesan cheese over the top.
- Step 7: Cook on low for 3-4 hours.
- Step 8: Turn off and let it sit for about 15 minutes before you serve. Cut and serve.
Notes
Allow the lasagna to rest for 15-30 minutes after cooking to let the layers set. Ground turkey can be used as a substitute for ground beef.
